Graveslab in Cloghanower

This 17th-century graveslab is set into the external face of the enclosing wall of the graveyard (GA056-055002-) associated with the medieval church (GA056-055001-) that is roughly centrally located within it. It is located to to the W of the original entrance gateway at the WNW end of the wall. The top of the slab is decorated with the IHS monogram and a Latin cross rises from the bar of the letter H. Below it is the following inscription (details provided by Dr C. Cunniffe): PRAY FOR YE SOVL OF FA CARBRY KEA NVAN V G T WHO DYED YE 25TH SEPT EMBER ANO DNI 161(?) HIS ANCESTORS WHO CAVSED THIS MON VMENT TO BE MADE Another graveslab is set into the wall to the S of the gateway but its inscription is illegible. The following image, courtesy of Dr C.
