What is recorded here

Grave Yd is a small rectangular burial ground beside a ruined church in County Cork, Ireland. It measures about ten metres by eight metres and holds numerous uninscribed gravemarkers clustered toward the south-east and west. The land is rough grazing now, partially overgrown, but the markers still break through grass and soil. They belong to people whose names no longer appear on any record, yet they remained visible enough for surveyors to draw the grave yard on a 1940 map.

Depicted on 1940 OS 6-inch map as rectangular area (c. 10m NW-SE; c. 8m NE-SW) defined by broken line, adjoining SW side of ruined church (CO069-038001-). In rough grazing. Area partially overgrown but numerous uninscribed gravemarkers noted, concentrated to SSE and WSW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
