What is recorded here

Situated on elevated ground immediately S of a public road, with good views in all directions. The graveyard is a sub-oval area (diam. c. 50m) accessed directly from the public road. It is enclosed by a mortared rough-hewn stone wall (H c. 0.7m), ivy covered and dilapidated in places and patched with cement blocks. At the centre are the ivy-clad remains of Tuogh church (LI015-031001-). The graveyard is still in use and maintained. The earliest headstones noted date to the late 18th century. A group of 19th century vaulted tombs are located in NE and SE quadrant of the graveyard. Compiled by: Denis Power Date of upload: 4 July 2013
