This graveyard, which is still in use, is associated with the church (GA070-089----) located in its NNE sector. On the 1934 edition of the OS 6-inch map it was roughly rectangular in plan (c. 73m N-S; c. 52m E-W) but it has subsequently been extended to the S and W. The earliest graveslab noted on inspection in August 1983 dated to 1882.
This monument is subject to a preservation order made under the National Monuments Acts 1930 to 2014 (PO no. 2/2002).
