What is recorded here

Half a mile west of the main road, a field holds no grave at all. The surveyors marked a spread of boulders in 1846 and wondered whether giants had died there; by 1903 they could only call it supposed. Men may have taken the stones for a wall or a fence, leaving the name behind like a shadow detached from its body. What remains is a point on a map where belief outlived stone, and forgetting began one shovel-full at a time.
Giant's Grave is recorded as a archaeological place in County Donegal. Its open map record supplies this location and any linked names or public references.
