Gateway, c.1790, comprising pair of freestanding dressed stone piers with quoins to corners, moulded cornices and orb finials. Road fronted.
This gateway is an attractive and unusual feature and indicates the boundary or entrance to the village of Moone. The tall slender piers are fine example of the high quality stone masonry of the area and are an eye-catching feature on the streetscape.
This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
