What is recorded here

Gallán was a single standing stone in County Cork, marked on the 1937 map but absent from earlier surveys, then removed without a visible trace. It may have guided herds, marked a boundary or waited for ceremonies now forgotten. Its disappearance does not diminish it; it completes the mystery.
