G. Yard in County Longford is a graveyard attached to a medieval church where memorials from the 18th through 20th centuries still stand. Lewis wrote in 1837 that it remained a favourite burial place, suggesting the community continued trusting the ground long after the church fell into shadow. The stone wall is straight on three sides but curves along the east, as if the yard itself leaned slightly toward the light. People may have walked there in rain or festival, carrying names and grief into soil that had already received generations before them.

Lewis (1837, vol. 2, 555) recorded that it was ‘still a favourite burial-place'. The graveyard (c. 64m E-W; c. 52m N-S) is enclosed by a stone wall that is straight on the SW, NW and N sides but is curving on the E side. Memorials date from the 18th to the 20th centuries.
