In rough grazing, on the N bank of a stream. A horseshoe-shaped gorse-covered mound (10.4m E-W; 7.4m N-S; H 1.2m) of heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil. The opening (Wth 4m) faces marshy ground to the N. The S side of the mound is partially eroded exposing heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil as well as some large stones. Another fulacht fia (CO116-028----) lies c. 60m to the SW. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
