An angry red seam still runs through the low mound where heat and water collided. Two fulacht fia sit thirty metres apart in Curraghard pasture, repeating the same violent recipe. People may have cooked meat, cleaned tools or marked a boundary there. The boggy ground to the east keeps the heat waiting for the next hand.
