At S edge of graveyard (CO054-031002-), ruins of rectangular church (c. 18.5m E-W; c. 4.5m N-S) reduced to near foundation level, except at NW corner where section of wall stands c. 2.5m high. Church has been extended to E; clear break in construction c. 5m from E end in line with foundations of partition wall. Parish church of Dysert, in ruins by 1615 (Brady 1863, vol. 2, 221). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 2: East and South Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1994).
