Field boundary in Knockeens

In boggy pasture, on the SE-facing slope of Mangerton Mountain. A section of a relict field wall (T 0.6m; H 0.4m) extends c. 25m in a SW direction and then disappears into deeper bog. Some of the stones are set at right angles to the line of the wall. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
