Detached four-bay single-storey direct-entry vernacular farmhouse with attic, built c. 1820, now vacant. Corrugated-iron roof, half-hipped to south gable and hipped to north, over thatch and having rendered chimneystack. Painted roughcast rendered random rubble stone walls, with concrete wall plate. Square-headed window openings having one-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows and stone sills, with attic window to south-west elevation. Square-headed door opening with timber panelled door having chamfered edges, and overlight. Kitchen having open fireplace with crane and bellows to north side of doorway and narrow wooden stairs to attic room to south side. Stone steps attached to north gable leads to first floor of adjacent outbuilding. This outbuilding single-storey with loft, pitched slate roof and rubble limestone walls and having square openings. Detached single-storey outbuildings to front of house, with pitched slate roofs and limewashed walls, having square-headed doorway and segmental-arch vehicular entrances with brick voussoirs. Stone boundary wall to front of house, along road with stone stile beside deep rendered stone piers with rebates for double-leaf wrought-iron gates.
This pleasant modest vernacular farmhouse retains most of its original attributes, together with much historic fabric, to both the exterior and the interior, such as sash windows, the open fireplace with bellows, and the attic stairs. The building is well maintained though presently vacant. The house along with its attendant outbuildings and enclosing walls and piers are an important part of the vernacular heritage of the area and make a pleasing ensemble.
