Fairy fort / stone ringfort in Smutternagh is a fairy fort or stone ringfort in Smutternagh, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a low rise on a gentle southwest-facing slope overlooking Lough Key. The site contains a D-shaped stone spread and a separate circular grass-covered mound five metres to the south.
On a low rise of a gentle SW-facing slope overlooking Lough Key. D-shaped overgrown area (int. dims.30m NW-SE; 25m NE-SW) defined by a stone spread (Wth 2-4m; int. H 0.2-0.45m; ext. H 0.6-0.8m) with no visible facing stones or entrance. Mound (RO003-04002-), which is visible as a circular grass-covered but poached feature (diam. of base 6m E-W; 5.5m N-S) with a flat top (diam. 4.7m E-W; 4.5m N-S; H 0.25-0.3m). is 5m to the S.
