What is recorded here
Russellstown holds a hidden rath in the Rath field, yet no human hand has marked its exact centre. The earth keeps that boundary private, forcing imagination to fill the gap left by forgotten surveyors.
According to O'Kelly (1969, 45) in the townland of Russellstown, there is, 'a rath in the Rath field'. This monument is unlocated within Russellstown townland.
