Fairy forts are not places for children at night. They are places where the rules of consent disappear. An adult must leave the child behind or lose the chance to see the fort at all. That warning is not cruelty. It is the boundary line between wonder and harm.
In undulating grassland. Very poorly preserved rath defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The inner bank survives from SE to SW, while the fosse and outer bank survive only from SE to S; the latter may have been removed during construction of the railway line to S. Extensive quarrying has occurred from SW to NW. A GBG (GA087-021001-) occupies the interior.
