Single-arch limestone railway bridge, built 1851, carrying minor road over Galway to Dublin railway line. Rock-faced rusticated limestone walls and voussoirs to segmental arch, dressed limestone parapet walls. Recent approach railings.
The uniform rock-faced finish to the limestone used in the construction of the bridge imparts an impression of solidity and stability. This bridge is a reminder of the engineering achievements of the great railway era.
