Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Skeanavart is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Skeanavart, County Roscommon, Ireland. The circular grass-covered area measures 22.5m across and sits on a slight rise of a broad E-W ridge. A gapped earthen bank and scarp define its perimeter, while a NNW-SSE field wall crosses the interior towards the eastern edge. A barrow lies 170m north and a rath 130m south-southeast.
On a slight rise of a broad E-W ridge. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 22.5m N-S; 22.5m E-W) defined by a gapped earthen bank (Wth 3.15m at N to 4.6m at S; int. H 0.5-0.8m; ext. H 1.1m at N to 1.45m at W) at S and WSW-NNE, and by a scarp (H 0.6m at E to 1m at SW) elsewhere. There is no visible fosse or entrance, but a NNW-SSE field wall overlies the interior towards the perimeter at E. Barrow (RO016-059----) is c. 170m to the N, and rath (RO016-064----) is c. 130m to the SSE.
