Tobernavean

At the bottom of a SW-facing slope of a broad NW-SE ridge and regarded as a holy well (OS Name Books). A rectangular spring (dims 2m NW-SE; 2m NE-SW) surrounded by a drystone wall (Wth 0.6m; H 1.5) on all sides except the SE, from which a stream flows S and then NW. A hawthorn tree stands immediately to the E and there is a shelf against the inner face of the SW sidewall, but there is no evidence of veneration.
