What is recorded here

Fairy forts are not for entry. They are for noticing. This is one of them: a shallow earth ring in open pasture, with a gap at the south-east where the boundary stops pretending to be complete. The bushes on the bank are not decoration. They are the fort learning to breathe through living things. What ever stood here has not vanished. It has changed its shape, and is still watching for the kind of person who comes to see, not to take.

In level pasture. Circular area (32.9m N-S; 30.1m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.6m; ext. H 1.3m) with external fosse (D 0.1m; Wth 1.6m). Bushes grow along top of bank.
