What is recorded here
Fortmill and Moyra hide a forgotten ringfort beneath reclaimed pasture. Earth and stone once formed a low bank around a narrow oval, but grass and time have erased the entrance and edge. The fort is gone except in measurement and memory.
On a gentle N-facing slope in reclaimed pasture. A report in 1976 (SMR file) recorded a raised subcircular area (c. 22m N-S; c. 19m E-W) enclosed by a low bank of earth and stone with a shallow external fosse. The original entrance was not recognisable. The monument is not visible at ground level.
