Fairy fort in Lissheeda, County Cork: a rough circular earthwork, 51 metres east-west and 48 metres north-south, with a 1.6-metre bank, scarp and silted fosse on a southwest-facing pasture slope. A north-south field fence cuts into its eastern edge, while a laneway skirts the stone-faced northern bank. People may have lived there before becoming a fairy fort in local thought, but the ground still keeps its shape: a room without walls, large enough to remember and odd enough to be told.

In pasture, on SW-facing slope. Roughly circular area (51.4m E-W; 48.2m N-S) enclosed by earthen bank (H 1.6m) NW->ENE; scarp SE->NW; silted-up external fosse SE-NW. Field fence running N-S truncates E edge of interior. Bank to N stone faced externally; skirted by laneway.
