In centre of graveyard (CO111-026001-), fragmentary remains of rectangular church (int.: 13.95m SE-NW; 5.2m NE-SW). Walls much broken down and overgrown; gaps in SW wall indicate position of window and door opes. Wide shallow niche (Wth 2.75m; D 0.44m) at base of much collapsed SE wall possibly base of central window ope. Parish church of Leighmoney, in ruins by 1615 (Brady 1863, vol. 1, 200). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 2: East and South Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1994).
