No visible fort remains in Lislom, but the lost measurements describe a real circular enclosure: about forty-two metres across, with a broad low bank, an outer ditch, and a narrow southeast gap for entry. That is a human shape, not a vague fairy tale. The name may be later, but the form is clear: a small defended or occupied place on a narrow ridge, now erased from the ground.

On a low, narrow N-S ridge in pasture. A raised circular area (diam. c. 42m) enclosed by a low bank of earth and stone (Wth 4.6m; H 0.3m). A report in 1976 (SMR file) recorded a shallow external fosse with a low outer bank. It also noted a house site (LF023-082001-) inside the bank at NE. All of these features have since been levelled.
