Fairy fort in Letterscanlan: a circular earthwork atop a hillock, 23.5 metres across, with a 2.5-metre bank and a wide eastern gap. It stands in pasture, overgrown and unfinished-looking, as if people stopped building it and the field swallowed the rest. The southern gap may be modern, but the eastern opening feels deliberate, like an invitation rather than a breach.

In pasture, atop hillock. Circular area (23.5m N-S; 24m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 2.5m); shallow external fosse (D 0.15m). Bank heavily overgrown; wide gap to E (Wth 9.6m); second gap to S (Wth 6m) appears modern. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
