No visible entrance, no central chamber, no distinguishing feature. The survey stops listing what it sees and starts inventing the shape of the gap. That is the danger of a clear lens on an empty room. It does not measure the room, it measures the hunger of the person holding it.

Situated at the summit of a drumlin. This rath is represented on McCrea’s Map of County Monaghan (1793) and on the 1834 and 1907 editions of the OS 6-inch map. It is a circular overgrown area (diam. c. 35m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (at SW: Wth of base 5m; int. H 0.65m; ext. H 3.5m) and an outer fosse (at SW: Wth of top 4m; ext. D 0.75m) that is missing SW-NW and E-SSE. The entrance may be at E where there are remains of a causeway. Rath (MO023-022----) is c. 75m to the ESE.
