What is recorded here

On top of a broad hill. Subcircular grass-covered area (dims 29.9m N-S; 24m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2.2-3.5m; int. H 0.2-0.4m; ext. H 0.5-0.7m), with a flat-bottomed fosse (Wth of top 4-6.6m; Wth of base 2.2-3m; D 0.3-0.7m) NE-S-W and an outer bank (Wth 2.2m; ext. H 0.2m) S-NW. There is an entrance (Wth 3.4m) at SE. The monument is overlain by an E-W field bank and outer drain at N, which distorts the perimeter here, and the interior is overlain by a NNE-SSW relict field bank.
