What is recorded here
At the N-facing crest of a broad hill. This is an oval or D-shaped grass-covered area (dims 50.6m NW-SE; 34m NE-SW) defined by an earthen bank which is incorporated into a field bank and hedge (Wth 3-4.5m; int. H 0.3-0.5m; ext. H 0.6-1.4m) W-N-SE, although replaced by a field wall W-NW. The fosse (Wth of top 7.5m; Wth of base 3.5m; ext. D 1.2m) is only visible W of this field wall, and the original entrance cannot be identified. The perimeter is truncated by an earthen bank (Wth 1.5m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.3m) SE-W.
