What is recorded here

No visible wall survives on the east, but the remaining bank and ditch mark a fifty-five metre circle where ordinary pasture once bent around a hidden life. People walked past the broken line for generations, perhaps forgetting the fort or perhaps keeping its name alive in the local word Lisheen. The missing eastern edge does not erase the place; it hands the fort over to imagination, where the wall may still hold against forgetting.

In undulating pastureland. Known locally as a ‘Lisheen’, this very poorly preserved circular rath (diam. c. 55m) is defined by an earthen bank and an external fosse from NW to N, and by a scarp from SSE through S to NW. A field boundary cuts across the monument from NNE to SSE and no visible surface trace of the enclosing element survives to the E of it.
