Marianne and I walked past the fort in 2016. I wanted to leave it alone because it had no visible marker, but she wanted to see whether the land still remembered the shape. We stood above the bluff, looked down at the pasture and waited for the boundary to appear. It never did. What remained was a place name, a map line and the risk of inventing more than the land gave back.

In pasture, on level ground at foot of N-facing slope and above steep natural bluff overlooking stream. Depicted as roughly circular enclosure (diam. c. 40m) on 1842 OS 6-inch map.
