Mortons and Cavan hosts still call it a fairy fort, though human hands built the earthen ring. The circle measures twenty-three point eight metres across, with a slight bank and an infilled ditch that only resists forgetting on the north side. No entrance remains visible, as if the fort swallowed its own doorway. People may have lived inside, loved inside, raged and bled inside before fairy names arrived to cover the ordinary wound.

Raised circular area (int. diam. 23.8m) enclosed by a slight but well-defined earthen bank and a fosse which is largely infilled with the exception of the N portion.
