Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Garrynphort (athlone South By.) is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Garrynphort (athlone South By.), County Roscommon, Ireland. The oval grass and scrub-covered area measures 31 metres north-south and 25 metres east-west within an undulating field system. An earth and stone bank preserves the eastern and southern edges, while a slight scarp marks the rest of the perimeter. A separate hut-site with a one-metre-wide bank occupies a rise inside the northern boundary.
On an undulating landscape within the field system (RO047-019002-). Oval grass and scrub-covered area (int. dims 31m N-S; c. 25m E-W) defined by an earth and stone bank best preserved (Wth 5.3m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.4m) E-S, and a slight scarp elsewhere, but the perimeter cannot be traced N-NE. There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance. The interior is uneven, and there is a hut-site (RO047-019003-) (int. diam. 7m) defined by a slight bank (Wth c. 1m) on a rise inside the perimeter at NW. Cashel (RO047-019004-) is c. 200m to the SE.
