Half a kilometre north of the first fort, a second circular shadow still marks the grass. Bowman measured its double ramparts in 1934, but half the inner bank had already vanished into ordinary farm life. The fort has not disappeared so much as stopped performing for strangers.

In pasture, near top of ridge on S-facing slope. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure on 1842, 1904 and 1938 OS 6-inch maps; shown as bivallate S->N on 1938 OS 6-inch map. Levelled; circular area (40m E-W; 35.5m N-S) defined by earthen bank SSW->W with external fosse; low rise and slight external depression elsewhere. Bank to SW heavily overgrown and incorporated into field fence system. Circular enclosure visible as cropmark of bank, intervening fosse and outer bank in aerial photograph (CASAP). Second bivallate ringfort (CO031-01602-) c. 80m to N. Recorded by Bowman (1934, 212) as double-ramparted fort (diam. 34yd; inner bank H c. 9ft; intervening fosse Wth c. 18ft; outer bank H c. 6ft) on J.
