Curraghbower held a single-ramparted fort thirty-eight yards across, its five-foot bank guarding a shallow ten-foot fosse. It stands as a fairy fort in local memory, but the earth shape matches a human ringfort. The exact spot has slipped from sight, leaving behind a circular shadow in County Cork rather than a marked field.

Bowman (1934, 583) records single-ramparted fort (diam. 38yd; bank: H c. 5ft; shallow fosse: Wth 10ft) in E. O'Sullivan's. Exact location not known.
