Abandoned, long 2-storey rectangular house. Rendered over random-rubble limestone construction. Front elevation (NE) of five widely spaced bays, central rectangular door ope, lintelled sash windows. Blocked opes in NW end bay on front and rear elevations, interior at this point used as outhouse with access through door ope in NW end wall. One-storey addition on SE end elevation. Large buttress on NW side of rear with door ope to SE and simple small stairway window overhead. Hipped slate roof; two chimneys off-centre near end walls. According to Bowman (1934, 483), used as barrack in 1798. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
