Depicted as hachured quadrilateral enclosure (c. 30m E-W; c. 20m N-S) on 1842 OS 6-inch map, and incorporated into field boundary system to E and S. In level pasture. Levelled; no visible surface trace. According to local information, field known as 'the black field' because it is very wet. May be one of two levelled single-ramparted forts (diam. c. 27yd and 35yd respectively) recorded by Bowman (1934, 553) on W. Mullane's land.
