Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Cloonfinlough is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Cloonfinlough, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a gentle east-facing slope as a circular grass-covered area measuring thirty-four point eight metres north-south and thirty-three point eight metres east-west. A flat-topped earthen bank and flat-bottomed fosse define the perimeter, while remnants of an outer bank appear to the north-northwest and south-southwest. The original three-metre entrance faces east-northeast, though the eastern fosse has widened into a pond and a modern opening now marks the south side.
On a gentle E-facing slope. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 34.8m N-S; 33.8m E-W) defined by a flat-topped, overgrown earthen bank (Wth of base 5.6-7.5m; Wth of top 2.7-3.7m; int. H 0.3-1m; ext. H 1.2-2m) and a flat-bottomed fosse (Wth of top 5.3-7m; Wth of base 2.2-4.6m; D 0.5-1m), with the remains of an outer bank (Wth 3.6m; H 0.2m) NW-NNW and S-SW. The original entrance (Wth 3m) is at ENE and there is a modern entrance at S. The fosse at E has been widened into a pond. Rath (RO027-056----) is c. 190m to the W.
