What is recorded here

Castlewidenham hides a thirty-metre earthen ring now buried beneath tillage. Two faint fosses still curve through the soil like forgotten breath, visible only when sunlight rakes the crops. People may have lived there, loved there, and been forgotten there. The land keeps what memory loses.

In tillage. Depicted as hachured circular raised area (diam. c. 30m) on 1935 OS 6-inch map. Levelled; no visible surface trace.
