Fairy fort in Braystown, County Meath: a 30-metre earthen ring on a hilltop, with a 3-metre fosse and a 5-metre gap at the southeast. It still shows in the ground as a shallow circle, company for the rath and ring-ditch nearby. People may have lived there, marked territory, or left the fort empty for the fairies, which is why such places keep their names.

Located at the summit of a hill. The cropmark of a circular enclosure (dima. c. 30m) defined by a single fosse feature (Wth c. 3m) with an entrance gap (Wth c. 5m) at SE was recorded by Justin Kenny using a drone-mounted camera in July 2018. Rath (ME018-044001-) and ring-ditch (ME018-044002-) are c. 100 and c. 80m to the S and SSE respectively. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 6 March, 2019
