Baunoulagh held a thirty-five metre earthen ring on a south-facing slope before ploughs erased it. Bowman measured the levelled fort in 1934, yet aerial shadows still trace its buried bank beside another ring. The land keeps what people forget, waiting for rain or flight to reveal the circle again.

In pasture, on S-facing slope. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 35m) on 1842 OS 6-inch map; as hachured circular raised area on 1937 OS 6-inch map. Levelled; no visible surface trace of site. Circular enclosure visible as cropmark of bank in aerial photograph (GSIAP, R721). Recorded by Bowman (1934, 46) as levelled single-ramparted fort (diam. c. 40yd) on Mr Bresnahan's land. Ringfort (CO023-133---) in same field c. 30m to S.
