What is recorded here

Situated on a gentle SW-facing slope of a broad hill. The cropmark of a circular enclosure (diam. c. 25m) defined by a wide fosse feature is visible on aerial photographs (MM (57) 25, 29-30). Enclosure (WX026-065----) is c. 150m to the NE. It is also visible on Google Earth (14/07/2018). A fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Ballynamuddagh, likely dating to the early medieval period, is identified by a circular enclosure with a wide fosse visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs.
