Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Ballygiltenan North is a roughly circular earthen enclosure in undulating pasture, marked by a scarped edge reaching 1.9m at the north and an external fosse running southeast to northwest. The south side has given up much of its shape to dense overgrowth, while the interior remains uneven but largely clear, with a shallow oval depression west of centre and a smaller raised area outside the western fosse. It is the kind of place where human hands made a boundary, and time has begun turning that boundary into mystery.

In undulating pasture. Roughly circular area (26m N-S; 28m E-W) defined by scarped edge (H: 1.9m at N; 0.65m at S), with external fosse SE->NW (D 0.5m; Wth 1.5m), and with external earth-and-stone bank (int. H 0.15; ext. H 0.2m) NW->NE. Scarp is obscured by dense overgrowth especially on S side. Immediately outside fosse at W is roughly circular raised area (6.5m E-W; max. H 0.95m).
