What is recorded here

No visible marker remains at Ballyfinegan, curraghrevagh, though the land still carries the memory of a ringfort. The earth may have swallowed the ditch and bank, or people may have forgotten the shape after generations of ploughing and rain. What is certain is that the site entered the official record as a rath, not as a fairy tale. The distinction matters because it removes the excuse of dismissing the place as imagination.
