What is recorded here

Three earthen rings stand evenly spaced beneath the Ballycullane sky, marked on Bateman’s map in 1716 and still visible today. They are not fairy forts at all, but human ringforts built for defence, storage or residence in County Cork. The westmost ring survives on later surveys, while the others faded from official notice. Their symmetry suggests planning, not chance, and their silence preserves more than any monument could speak.
