What is recorded here

No visible cavity, no chamber, no chamber of chambers. Only a smooth circular depression, perhaps twenty metres across, holding a dark soil that resists shovels and cameras alike. The boundary appears as a faint line of displaced grass, visible only when wet. What was built there is no longer human-made in any recognisable way. The shape remains, but the function has left.

In pasture, on gentle NNE-facing slope. Circular area (22m N-S; 22m E-W) enclosed by worn, earthen bank (int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.35m); external fosse (D 0.55m) E->SW. Bank heavily overgrown with bushes except to SE; topped by stone field boundary N->E. Quarry immediately outside NW bank.
