Entrance gates to south-east of Springfield House, erected c. 1820, comprising square-profile cut limestone piers with plinth, carved and moulded caps topped with balls, having decorative cast-iron double-leaf vehicular gates and limestone wheel guards, flanked by pair of cast-iron pedestrian gates and cut limestone piers. Set in curved rubble limestone walls with cut limestone plinths and copings terminating in similar piers. Two-storey gate lodge adjacent to east built 1996.

This attractive entrance gateway to Springfield House exhibits high quality craftsmanship in its stonework and ironmongery. Its quadrant arrangement displays grandeur and emphasises the quality of the house within.
