Fairy fort in Ballinree and Ballymoat: a 32-metre oval rath on a low ridge, its earth bank partly rebuilt and partly lost beneath pasture. The site still carries the shape of human choice, even where the entrance and outer ditch have faded from sight.

On a low ridge in rough pasture. A raised oval area (diam. c. 32m NE–SW; c. 28m NW–SE) enclosed from W–NW–N by a partially reconstructed, low bank of earth and stone (Wth 4.4m; H 0.4m) and from N–NE–E by a scarp (H 0.7m). The enclosing element has been levelled from E–SE–S. From S–SW–W the bank has been rebuilt inside the line of its original circuit and a berm (Wth 2m)/scarp (H 0.7m) indicates its original line. A report in 1976 (SMR file) recorded the outline of an infilled external fosse, which is no longer identifiable. The original entrance is not recognisable. Compiled by: Patrick F.
