What is recorded here
Fairy forts are no joke. They are real, ancient and dangerous. Annagh holds one of the smallest and most honest examples preserved. A thin soil mark still traces the circular boundary on the southeast slope. The ground remembers the shape even when human memory has faded.
Located on a SE-facing slope. The faint cropmark of a circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m) defined by a single fosse feature is visible on Google Earth (29/06/2019). It was first reported by Anthony Murphy.
