What is recorded here

Aghaneenagh is a lost Irish ringfort. Men erased it around 1982, perhaps to widen pasture or kill the fairy tale. A slight rise remains on the south-facing slope, small enough to walk across but heavy enough to remember. The hawthorn is gone, the circular earth is gone, and the forgetters went home thinking they had improved the land.

In pasture, on S-facing slope. According to local information, small circular rise (diam. c. 3ft) and hawthorn bush marking site of ringfort were removed c. 1982. Slight rise remains.
