The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.

Shown on 1839 'OS 6-inch' map as circular enclosure, and on 1908 OS 6" map as approximately oval area enclosed by field boundaries. Present remains consist of approximately circular area (c. 33m ESE-WNW) enclosed by field wall, now removed from ESE-S-NW.
A local fairy fort (ringfort/rath); wider significance not recorded.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
